Personal Experiences

In case you've been living under a rock (teehee), chances are you've heard of the story of the miners from Chile. These 33 men were trapped 2,000 feet underground for 69 days. For over 2 weeks, they had no contact with the outside world and they survived on 2 days' worth of rations, not knowing if they would ever again see daylight. Finally, they were contacted from the outside and for the rest of their time were only able to get supplies through 3 inch-diameter holes. The drills were not supposed to reach them until Christmastime, but they got to them months earlier than expected. Yesterday and the day before, the miners were rescued from underground and reunited with their friends and families. Their survival is truly a miracle (does anyone else think that their food lasting sounds kind of like the Channukka story?) and it really makes me feel like Hashem was watching over them.
