Something I did to Increase my Awareness of G-d
Tefilla is an important part of connecting to G-d, and since Hebrew is not my first language I decided to start reading some of the English translations. It is easier to sense a connection while communicating to G-d if you can understand what you are saying. A few years ago I made up hand motions to "Vee'Ahavta" in Shema, and I started doing them again to see what I am saying. Now I understand some Teffilot better and it makes my davening more meaningful, and I know just who I am praying to and why.
