Brachot

For my assignment, I decided to become more aware of saying Shema Shel Mitah. I thought that it would be a nice way to end my day, and that it would also calm me down and make me think of Hashem as I am falling asleep.
It was definitely an undertaking, for the words were unfamiliar, but with the help of an Artscroll siddur i came to get the gist of what each perek was about.
I really like saying shma right before I go to sleep because it is the last thing I do at night and it is sort of my own way of saying goodnight to Hashem. I think that saying shma makes me feel more comfortable with Hashem, and makes me more willing to talk to Him during the day and I think about Hashem more during the day.
