Talia Moss

Hearing Mrs.Krause speak to us about her perception of modern orthodoxy and the way students in Ma’ayanot keep it was eye opening. While listening to her I realized that the majority of what she was saying was right, at least for myself personally. Am I really following the true essence of modern orthodoxy? Although I believe that modern orthodoxy is the right way and that there are inherent benefits to the “icy and hard to navigate” road, her speech made me aware of the fact that I’m not necessarily navigating it in the right way. Her speech caused me to think and evaluate my own observance and spirituality level and reaffirmed my belief in modern orthodoxy. It also made me realize that modern orthodoxy is a term that implies a mindset which many not perceived as “modern orthodox” also share.
