Modern Orthodoxy Speech
I really agreed with what Mrs. Krause had to say in her speech about Modern Orthodoxy. Although the idea of Modern Orthodox is the ideal choice of how to practice Judaism- a balance of Torah and secular studies, very often people have trouble maintaining that balance. We choose to take the dangerous road that has more risks but on the other hand it also has more benefits. We just have to remember not to let Torah u Madda become Torah u Media. Modern Orthodoxy is all about being careful to sift the good out of the variety of things we have offered to us and make sure we surround ourselves by the best of both worlds. If we succeed in this balance that is when we truly have the best deal while safely making our way through all the freedom Modern Orthodoxy allows us to have.
